the twenty things the game lets you tap
Sweet Street has a crate, a saucer, a hand bell, a gate latch, a pond and a hearth, and each answers a tap with a sound made from the physics of the object: the modes of a plate of china, the bubble under a pond plip, the crackle cascade of dry wicker. These are the very clips the game plays, grouped by what the thing is made of. Tap a seal to hear one.
The instruments behind these are open in the voice bench: struck bodies, textures, water and fire.
Every one of these is a starting point rather than a finished thing: strike them yourself in the object bench — where you tap sets where the blow lands and how long you hold sets how hard.
Or find them where they live: two of the game's own rooms, struck — the parlour and the garden, and everything in them that makes a sound.
